I will select a niche that has tons of products to promote. My niche will be digital cameras. This is a nice niche because people buy digital cameras all the time. They buy them before vacations, before major holidays, before birthdays and major events like graduation ceremonies. Digital cameras also make great gifts. I think most people who are successful at Niche Marketing and Internet Marketing in general will agree that selecting the right niche and more specifically the right keywords and keyword phrases is top priority if you want to succeed. If you choose the wrong keywords, you will make very little money and get very frustrated.
So, how do we chose the right niche and the right keywords? Well, let’s think about our business model to gain some insights. Let’s say you have Adsense ads on your website. How do those work? In our first installment we talked about the viability of niche marketing. I think we’ve firmly established that niche marketing is a viable money making strategy but with two main caveats. The first caveat is that you need a solid promotional strategy to get indexed and ranked for your keywords and keyword phrases. The second is that it does take longer for Google to trust new sites. Why this is, we can only guess at. The cold hard truth is that we will not be able to make money instantly. This effort takes planning and determination and a bit of patience.
