I will select a niche that has tons of products to promote. My niche will be digital cameras. This is a nice niche because people buy digital cameras all the time. They buy them before vacations, before major holidays, before birthdays and major events like graduation ceremonies. Digital cameras also make great gifts. I think most people who are successful at Niche Marketing and Internet Marketing in general will agree that selecting the right niche and more specifically the right keywords and keyword phrases is top priority if you want to succeed. If you choose the wrong keywords, you will make very little money and get very frustrated.

People ask me all the time, Tom, “Is niche marketing dead?” The short answer is no. The long answer is “yes if you don’t know what you are doing”. So, why are so many people saying that niche marketing is a dead end? There are several reasons and I’ll explain them one by one.

It is completely possible for even someone with little to no prior internet marketing knowledge to make money with Google. The content that you offer on your website is the center stage of your campaign. Though you will be promoting your website via directories and the like, the content and information you offer on your own SEO website will be what makes your efforts profitable. Rock hard content filled with information about the subject will fare better with any visitors that come across your site, and can encourage them to click the ads therein.
The end focus of your campaign is to make money with Google via advertisement clicks, which is far less likely if visitors come onto your website and then immediately bounce right off. Having content that compels them to stay and read does indeed sell.
The usage of keywords in your entire SEO website will affect how well it does in the Google page rankings and with visitors. Avoid using your keyword phrase too many times. Keeping it to once or twice per paragraph or every one hundred words will keep the density to a nice low number. Filling your content with keywords is know as “keyword stuffing”, which does the exact opposite of attracting search engines to your site.
Learning the basics is a must before you can truly make money with Google using SEO techniques. Utilizing the same techniques in your promotional efforts beyond setting up your website will give you an extra boost to your traffic as well.
