In our last installment, we talked about how crucial niche selection was to our success. In this installment, we’ll pick a niche and show how to make money with it. Let’s get to the niche selection.
I will select a niche that has tons of products to promote. My niche will be digital cameras. This is a nice niche because people buy digital cameras all the time. They buy them before vacations, before major holidays, before birthdays and major events like graduation ceremonies. Digital cameras also make great gifts. All these reasons make digital cameras a perennial favorite. There’s also a lot of competition in this niche for the very same reasons. Read the rest of this entry »
In our first installment we talked about the viability of niche marketing. I think we’ve firmly established that niche marketing is a viable money making strategy but with two main caveats. The first caveat is that you need a solid promotional strategy to get indexed and ranked for your keywords and keyword phrases. The second is that it does take longer for Google to trust new sites. Why this is, we can only guess at. The cold hard truth is that we will not be able to make money instantly. This effort takes planning and determination and a bit of patience. Well, we know you have that because you are still reading, so on with it.
Selecting the Right Niche
Few things will affect your success more than niche selection. There are two main schools of thought here. I like to call them the “Popular Crowd” school of thought and the “Specialist” school of thought. Let’s talk about the “Popular Crowd” school of thought first. Read the rest of this entry »
Niche Marketing Begins With The Right Niche – Get It Wrong and You’re Toast!
Is there such a thing as easy search engine optimization? When it comes to on-site content, there is to a point. Choosing your niche is the very first step to the entire process, which in itself can be difficult. Actually creating the optimized content for your website is the easiest step, if you avoid being overzealous.
The niche you choose will play a huge part in how successful your search engine optimization is. Those with less traffic will be far more difficult to promote and will usually not be as profitable in the long run as those that are searched for more often. The competition within a niche will also affect how successful your efforts are. Niches that are packed to the brim with other marketing campaigns will be an uphill battle, no matter how experienced you are.
Choosing a middle-ground niche is the best option for a marketer just starting out. This way you can be sure that you will be getting traffic and will not have to directly compete against other campaigns. Starting with the middle will also give you a chance to test out different techniques and find out what works best within your niche.
Once you have decided on your niche and come up with your keywords, it is time to create some content. Quality content on visually appealing website layouts is the easiest way to draw in and keep readers, and is the key to easy search engine optimization. Keeping your article content on topic and informative will go a long way towards your success, and in some cases you do not need to do excessive amounts of research to come up with quality information.
The keyword density is the easiest part of optimization. You should keep any article’s keyword density in the single digits, preferably in the 1% to 5% range. This requires that you avoid repetition. The density that you use in articles should be adjusted depending on the headers, titles, and meta tags you will be using. Google takes all of the content on your site into account, even words within the source code that readers do not see. Adjust the keyword density within your article to work with the use of it in other factors of your website.
Optimizing your website is only one part of running a successful SEO campaign. Aside from on-site content, you must also employ some off-site promotional techniques to pull in traffic and to get Google’s attention. No matter which promotional methods you make use of, be sure to include your website’s keyword or words in the off-site content for some free and easy search engine optimization that will work well in your favor.

Making Money Online – Niche Selection and SEO are KEY!
There are several ways to approach making money online, some of which are tried and true while others are more of a trial and error endeavor. At the head of the tried and true methods is SEO (search engine optimization) marketing, which has been a popular method of making money via the internet for quite some time. Getting into this field now is just as lucrative as ever, and you may be amazed at exactly how easy it is for the new guys to compete with the experienced marketers.
What puts some people off when it comes to getting into the SEO game is the fact that so many others are already in it. In other fields it can be tough to get in and directly compete against other larger firms, but the internet is a level playing field, meaning you can give others a run for their money. Making money online in this fashion is a direct competition against others with the same overall goal as you: To make money fast. Making the most out of the resources available to you will prove to be the key to getting to the top of the Google rankings, and to success.
The foundation of any SEO campaign is the niche your website is in. The topic or keywords in the content on your site will be dictated by your chosen niche. Starting a website without any niche in mind can lead to an unprofitable venture, as many have found out the hard way over the years. Picking a niche prior to making your site public will make it easier to write content, and will make it stronger in the Google rankings. It is impossible to become a number one search result without some sort of niche focus and strategic keyword positioning.
The niche that you choose will also play a part in how successful your attempt at making money online will be. Some niches are not as popular as others, meaning that they will not get searched for as often in Google. If the keywords you are using do not get searched for often, then you will not get many page views. Page views and their subsequent advertisement clicks are the lifeblood of any SEO campaign. Pulling in readers who will click the advertisements is the overall goal — but there are some niches and keyword combinations that will lead to wasted time and money on your part. Careful research on keywords related to your preferred niche is a must.
Aside from the content of your website itself, proper meta tagging, back linking, and other forms of promotion will boost your rankings as well. Using a strategy that combines all of these factors at once will prove to have a huge effect on your overall profits. Like with any other type of business, making money online with SEO requires some thought, time, and effort to get the most out of your endeavors.
